SAP HANA, S/4HANA y otras cuestiones.

Recientemente, en cada publicación, en cada evento, en cada noticia sea de SAP o relacionada, dos palabras prevalecen al resto: HANA y S4HANA.

 

Pero, ¿Qué es esto de HANA y S/4HANA?
Este documento nace con la pretensión de ser un guion para ordenar mis ideas, pero si en el camino logra aclararte algunas dudas, bienvenido sea.

 

Empecemos por lo más evidente ¿Qué es HANA?
Hace unos años atrás la respuesta hubiera sido fácil, SAP HANA era una base de datos en memoria, cualidad que la convertía en la más rápida del mercado.

Hoy en día SAP HANA es mucho más que eso, hoy en día SAP HANA además de ser una base de datos en memoria es una plataforma de aplicaciones, la cual, por dar algunos números es entre 10 y 1000 veces más rápida que una base de datos tradicional en el mismo hardware.

Esta capacidad operacional aporta un nuevo enfoque a la operativa de las aplicaciones de negocio: Operar en tiempo real.

 

¿Qué es S/4HANA?
SAP S/4HANA es la abreviatura de SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA convirtiéndose en la siguiente generación de Business Suite.
Su construcción está basada en SAP HANA y su interfaz corre a cargo de SAP Fiori UX por lo que se convierte en una plataforma multi-dispositivo (móviles, desktop y tablets).
La premisa de S/4HANA es simplificar la operación en las empresas.

¿Qué módulos tiene disponible SAP S/4HANA?
La primera solución diseñada para para SAP S/4HANA ha sido sFIN o Simple Finance.
sFIN proporciona información en tiempo real de los procesos de FI permitiendo ejecutar Balance sheets, P&L's y Cash flow analysis a cualquier hora del día, en cualquier día del mes, en definitiva en el momento que tu desees. sFIN pretende remplazar a las clásicas finanzas de FI de SAP.

¿Qué módulos estarán disponibles en un futuro para S/4HANA?
El siguiente módulo que se espera para SAP S/4HANA es Simple Logistics.
El lanzamiento de Simple Logistics se espera para finales de 2015


Definindo valor de custo para o Item, através de documentos do módulo "Vendas"

Recentemente estava realizando uma operação no SAP Business One 9.x e acabei esbarrando em uma funcionalidade: "Ativar definição do custo", esta funcionalidade representa a possibilidade de definir um valor de custo para o item através de entradas nos documentos de Vendas, ou seja, através dos documentos "Vendas\Devolução" e "Vendas\Devolução de Nota Fiscal de Saída".

 

Qual seria a necessidade de uso desta funcionalidade?

 

Em alguns cenários de negócios, as empresas precisam receber itens de seus clientes, para entrar no estoque do SAP Business One um item vindo do cliente, o correto seria o uso dos documentos "Devolução" ou "Devolução de Nota Fiscal de Saída", porém caso o item não possua movimentações anteriores no sistema e utiliza a definição de custo através de "Preço médio", a entrada do item ocorria a nível de "quantidade" mas não havia contabilização de custo.

 

Para este cenário, muitas soluções de contorno foram adotadas, como:

- Após a entrada fazer uma reavaliação de estoque

- Cadastrar o cliente como fornecedor e lançar a entrada via "Compras"

O fato que todas eram apenas soluções de contorno.

 

Então fiquei curioso e fui procurar nos "notes" das "releases" onde esta funcionalidade foi implementada.

 

Para minha surpresa a funcionalidade foi liberada no SAP Business One 9.0 PL 06, encontrei referência para esta questão nas seguintes notas:

 

1867258 - Return Cost cannot be enabled for relevant documents by default


1057681 - FIFO item received with an A/R credit note has zero item cost

Especificamente nesta nota há a seguinte referência, para definição de custo através de documentos em vendas:

"As of version 9.0 PL06, you can use the new setting in Administration -> System Initialization -> Document Settings -> Per Document tab: Document type 'Returns' and 'A/R Credit Memo', option 'Allow Setting Item Cost When Document is Not Based'."


1867258 - Return Cost cannot be enabled for relevant documents by default





Como funciona esta funcionalidade?

 

Em configurações de documento, na aba "Por Documento", para os documentos de vendas "Devolução" e "Devolução de Nota Fiscal de Saída" foi criada uma opção: "[  ] Permitir definição do custo do item quando documento não for usado como base"

caso ativada, duas sub-opções estão disponíveis:

     "[  ] Habilitar configuração de custo em todas as linhas do documento por padrão"

     "[  ] Lista de preços do custo de devolução"

Por padrão, a opção vem ativada para os dois tipos de documento.

 

Para exemplificar criei um novo cadastro de item, onde é possível visualizar o custo do item como zero:

Ao criar um novo documento de marketing em "Vendas\Devolução" ao inserir o item é possível observar que dois novos campos no "conteúdo" estão disponível para edição:

1. O campo "Ativar definição de custo"

2. O campo "Custo da devolução (LC)"

 

O primeiro campo, permite que o usuário defina o valor da contabilização de forma manual.

O segundo campo, se destina a digitação do valor desejado para utilização como "custo" para o lançamento.

Ao concretizar o lançamento, mesmo no cadastro do item não estar sendo apresentado valor no campo "custo", como a opção foi "ativada" no documento e o valor preenchido, então será realizada a contabilização do custo e o valor atualizado no cadastro do item.

A contabilização do documento "Vendas\Devolução" é definida pelas contas informadas na "Determinação de contas contábeis", nas lacunas:

 

"Conta de devoluções" => Tipicamente utilizada como a conta de Estoque no Ativo, onde ocorrerá um "Débito" para aumentar o valor de mercadorias em estoque.

"Conta de custo de produtos vendidos" => Gerando um "Crédito" nesta conta.

 

Caso seja necessário uma contabilização diferente, é possível através da "Determinação de conta contábil avançada", informando a regra desejada e preenchendo as lacunas acima informadas na linha da nova regra. Se você quiser mais detalhes e alguma dica sobre, podem ser vistos nos documentos:

Agora é possível visualizar no cadastro do item que o custo foi atualizado, assim como no "Relatório de Verificação do Estoque" é possível observar que para o documento "Vendas\Devolução" foi feito a apropriação de R$ 100,00 no custo.

Se esta "nova funcionalidade" (que já é velha, pois está ai desde a PL 06 da 9.0) não existisse as soluções de contorno ainda seriam necessárias.

What comes with the Support Packages?

 

Support Package 11
  • Investigate the release notes for the Support Package 11  and find there the desriptions of the deliverered enhancements:  (Logon to SAP Help Library is required)
  • In summary SP 11 is providing:
    • IMPLEMENTING CHARACTERISTIC RELATIONSHIPS AND DATA SLICES ON THE SAP HANA DATABASE 
      In the context of BW-integrated planning, you can define the permitted combinations of characteristic values (in the form of characteristic relationships) and create data slices for the selected data that you want to protect. If the generic types of characteristic relationships (attribute, hierarchy, DataStore) and data slices (selection) do not meet specific customer requirements, you can implement characteristic relationships and data slices of type Exit.
      • ABAP Exit Implementation
        The typical ABAP exit implementation of these examples is direct, with the external data being read from the database using SQL commands from the ABAP runtime and - taking into account further information such as user name (sy-uname) - checking, deriving or creating records in the corresponding structure.
      • Implementation on the SAP HANA Database
        In BW, you can perform planning using internal database routines. In the SAP HANA database, you can perform SAP HANA-optimized planning. If you are using the Planning Applications Kit, we recommend also implementing the customer-specific exist functionality for characteristic relationships directly in the SAP HANA database using SQLScript.

 

    • Enhancements in area: REPLICATION OF DATASOURCES
      You can make a number of settings that affect how replication is performed. These allow you to define which DataSources are replicated, thus speeding up the replication process. For the replication of DataSources at the source system level or in an application component, you can make the following settings:
      • You can define the extent of the replication (active and/or delivery version).
      • You can define whether DataSources that are not known yet in the BW system should be created there and, which object type they should be created in.
      • You can define whether DataSources that do not exist any more in the source system should be created in the BW system.
      • You can define when and how DataSources that had already been activated prior to replication should be reactivated.
    • Enhancements in area: TRANSFERRING DATA USING OPERATIONAL DATA PROVISIONING
      Using the operational data provisioning (ODP) framework, you can transfer InfoProviders from BW systems (source BW systems in release SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SPS05 and higher) to your BW system. When creating the ODP source system, you can use the ODP context “BW - SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse”.

Support Package 7

Investigate the release notes for Support Package 7 and find there the desriptions of the deliverered fixes and enhancements:

  • Find out about the enhancements for SAP HANA optimization and the Data Warehouse Management. Further more you can read about the enhancements of the Analytic Engine in the OLAP Cache Monitor and for creation of CompositeProviders. For the BW Workspaces some handy improvements have been developed as well.

Generell Information

  • SAP always recommends to apply the latest Support Package
  • For all SAP BW 7.3 powered by SAP HANA Ramp up customers it is strongly recommended to implement SP06. For detailed information please have a look at note 1657994. SAP also recommends to apply the latest available SAP HANA revision.
  • The release dates for the Support Package Stacks can be found in the Support Package Stack Schedule (SMP login required).
  • Please see the SAP NetWeaver 7.3 Support Package Stack page (SMP login required). This page is the central point of information for planning the implementation of Support Package Stacks (SP Stacks) for SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

Payment Advice configuration and activation for different kinds of SAP Print forms

Introduction:

Automatic Payment Program (F110) is used to do the clear the invoices and post the payments.F110 is the standard t-code for doing the same.

 

In addition to the above there also forms sent to customers and vendors about the Payments done which are called Remittance Advices and Payment Advices based on the payment method configured

 

Forms:

 

  • There are three kinds of forms that can be used in SAP :
  • SAP scripts
  • SMARTFORMS
  • Adobe Forms

  For payment advices we can use all the three kinds of forms .In this document configuration and the calling logics for all the 3 kinds of forms.

SAP SCRIPTS:

 

  • This is the default configuration provided by SAP.
  • Standard script for the payment advices  : 'F110_IN_AVIS’
  • The same can be configured in the FBZP screen as shown below :

 

  1. Payment method in company code .This will be the default script name in case in case the configuration on the payment methods if the script name is not given.

  • Enter the script name in the below mentioned place.

  • Print program for each will be defined at the payment method level.

  • Two types of print programs can be defined 

               Use payment medium work bench :

  • In the below print program will always be a standard print program in case of PMW as it is hardcoded in the standard F110 Program .
  • In the standard SAPF110V program based on the xformi indicator.

 

  • In the T042Z table FORMI is the name of the Payment medium workbench.

  • Based on the above the print program will be called.

Use classic print programs :

SMARTFORMS:

  • There is no standard way of customizing smart forms in SAP for Payment advices.
  • So maintain the form names in one table based on the company code and the payment method. In the program call the form name and in the part of the code in the standard include call the form name and smart form name.
  • In case of the classic payment medium programs we can custom a Z Program.
  • In case of the Payment medium work bench always the program RFFOAVIS_FPAYM is called :

  • So create a Z program program and then use the same calling the smart forms.
  • Logic to call should be written at this place in the include :

  • Fill the variable hlp_pdfformular in the program by the same form name and then instead of the above FM call the smart form FM and then fill the OTF data to either send mail or to create spool.

Adobe Forms:

  • Adobe forms configuration can be done only in the Company code level not on the payment method level.
  • SAP has already provided standard Adobe forms for the Payment advice.
  • The same can be configured and can be used.
  • Below are the steps to be followed for the configuration.

  • Below is the place where the Adobe form will be called and sent in either email or spool.

Reports !! Query Creation Using SQVI for MM/SRM

Hello People,

 

I am working in to SAP MM- SRM Support services. Majority of what I do consists of reporting of various things according to user requirement. And most of what I do is to get certain data from one table pass it onto others and get some other data and join them into excel and present it to client.

 

For few weeks i use to do it Manually and didn't know that SAP has anything/program to help me get of exactly what I want.

 

Because most the system is customized and even for standard report and analysis was not producing the data my client required for further analysis.

 

So after few research here and there, reading many new functionalities and even understanding the creation of BAPIs for certain data creation and background jobs, but I was not satisfied as the client requirement would vary a lot on within few set of filters and stuff and I, being a Functional consultant side, didn't know on how to create BAPIs and it was also way smaller job so as to create a BAPI for the same.

 

But in all this mess of a research I came across the SAP Functionality of query Creation SQVI, It was exactly what i was looking for !!

 

THIS WORKS FOR SAP MM-SRM or any other tables. I am here taking an example for tables in SAP SRM.

 

It was simple to understand and easy to work with. Just few mins into the functionality and I know I have found my cancer's cure.

 

So for all those who are still suffering here is all you need to know for all the table related reports you were generating.

 

I would like to explain it with an example so for our better understanding.

 

 

My Client came up with the requirement that, they want a list of Shopping cart from the given list of PO in SAP SRM

 

MANUAL/PAST METHOD :

 

Into SE16 Transaction

PART 1: Insert PO data into table BBP_PDBEI

PART 2: Get 'Object GUID' from the above table and insert it in the table CRMD_ORDERADM_I

PART 3: Get '(Parent) Object GUID from the above table and insert it in the table CRMD_ORDERADM_H and get the list of required SC

PART 4: We have to combine all the sheets so as to know which Shopping Cart is for which Purchase Order, using VLOOKUP Functionality in Microsoft Excel.

 

 

Now instead we can use Transaction SQVI and proceed as follows:

1. Open the screen and in the "Quick View" Box, Enter the name of your query, can be anything, let say " PO_LIST_FROM_SC"

 

2. Click Create.

 

3. Choose a title. ( can be same PO_LIST_FRM_SC ). NOW CHOOSE "TABLE JOIN" in the data source, as we want to join few tables to get our report. and Basic or Layout mode choose any,

 

4, Now a blank screen will open with the title " Create QuickView ( your name of query, in our case PO_LIST_FRM_SC) : Choose data source

 

5. As you can see few icons on the top of the page, Click on the second Icon of "Insert Table". and insert the table you want to join, in our case ,

    "BBP_PDBEI".

    Repeat the process and insert the tables "CRMD_ORDERADM_I" and "CRMD_ORDERADM_H" as well.

    All the tables can be seen as a box in the screen with their titles

 

6. As you can see there is small link( thin black line) between the tables. This line is how the system would match the data between tables and would

    create a common table. see that there are no two lines in our case because we just want to match the list of 'Object GUID' into first two tables

    "BBP_PDBEI" and "CRMD_ORDERADM_I".

 

    If there are 2 lines then we can simply click one of them and right click and use "delete link" to delete the link. we can also pick and drop the link on the

    fields that we like to match between tables.

 

7. Now do the same between the tables "CRMD_ORDERADM_I" and "CRMD_ORDERADM_H" and join the "(Parent) Object GUID" from the first table to

    "Object GUID" in the second.

 

8. You can also click the first Icon on the menu bar and can check the link joined between all the tables are defined correctly or not.

    You can see the tables joined in the navigation view in the lower center of the screen and can also see the area covered by our screen.

 

9.  Now go press the back button and come on the initial screen. This screen is mainly divided into two parts, but basically both of them would perform the

     same thing to our table. i.e. that it would help us with the field that we want to be on display and the we fields we want to hide.

 

    As you can see on the LEFT hand side of the screen, the names of our tables listed , drop down them (double click) and choose the view that you want to

    be  it 'Listed' in the result and fields that are present to enter the data or selection fields.

 

 

    In our case the listed fields would be Shopping Cart numbers and Purchase order numbers

    And selection field would be Purchase order numbers.( we can use as many fields as we want from all the listed tables)

 

 

10. Execute and you would reach a new program. This is what we require.

 

Now insert the PO numbers and execute and you would get List of shopping cart related to it.

 

WE have to create only once this query and every one can use it from the 'SA38' - Program executor.

 

Please Note: For others to use the program, you need to write down the name of the program when you in step 10, in the above process and share it manually with everyone in the team for them to use it.




So this was a simplest example that I can come up with for using this extraordinary function " SQVI". You can join various tables and other data sources given in the option and explore this option.


It worked for me as a life saver from daily reporting of various things.

I hope it does the same for you.

PS: Remember this, as only the user who have created the query can edit it into the system , no one else can. And also you can always use the same transaction 'SQVI' to make any changes in the queries you have created.

Target: E-mail should be send to Admin /support  group when CIF queues are blocked.

The check will be done for inbound and outbound queue on SCM productive System.

For this reason two “/SAPAPO/” standard programs are used and executed as periodical jobs.

I've done the HANA training courses, what to do next?

HANATEC certificationhas in it's curricula the "HA100 - SAP HANA Introduction" and the "HA200 - SAP HANA Installation & Operations" training courses. We can also find the HA240 and HA250 courses in the curricula but I'm not sure to which extent they'll be necessary since we have already units about authorizations and migration in HA200. Of course that these 2 courses HA240 and HA250 go deeper in the subject.

 

These courses are, in my opinion well structured and with enought exercises to get the exact understanding on the presented subjects. Perhaps the View concepts and creation in HA100 is to much stressed out than expected for an introduction.

 

After a couple of weeks I was faced with the need to go thru all the course stuff again and I was searching for a HANA system to support my study and to do some or all the exercises .

 

The answer is in the HA100 course itself and it is solved creating a HANA Cloud free subscription for the "SAP HANA Developer Edition".  It could be used for evaluations and  exploration covering the HA100 material.

 

 

Get access to a HANA system

 

To get a free account we can do it from http://developers.sap.com/hana and there sign up (only step 2 on next picture) to get started with a free SAP HANA developer edition in the cloud.

Get some tutorial

 

The data model available in the evaluation system is not the same as the one used in HA100 training course. The following document posted by Stoyan Manchev is as a very good alternative even if it doesn't go so deeper on the exercises about creating views .

 

8 Easy Steps to Develop an XS application on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform

 

 

When following steps 1 to 4 we begin preparing the environment and then connecting HANA studio do the Hana cloud and creating a view. Don't need to go thru step 5 and nexts since they are not related with our certification.

 

To run the step 2 we need a HANA Studio. We can download it to install from https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#hanatools; I've done it with the Luna edition.

 

Take your time. It will take a while to get everything fitted together in order to create the views.

 

 

Test your knowledge

 

After going thru these steps we'll master the HANA100 and to test our knowledge  before going to SAP to make the examen we can do a small assessment which we get choosing "Discovery Preview: SAP HANA Introduction" on https://performancemanager.successfactors.eu

 

This is a 12 hours e-learning free course based on HA100 with a web assessment included.


Limitations

 

Unfortunatelly this HANA Developpment Edition for wich we can have a freee access on the cloud is useless to cover almost all if not all the subjects of HA200 Because it has limitations in the adiministration parts. We are not able to define users, roles or even display any administration view.

Hello everybody,

 

My name is Bruno Cavestro and I am a tech geek, passionate inter alia of SAP BusinessObjects customization.

As I discovered SAP Lumira, I immediately fell il love with its extension mechanism.

 

But, as I went trough some blogs and tutorials concerning SAP Lumira extensions coding,

I noticed a sort of weird common mindset:

Those tutorials (the ones I bumped into) are a list of order you have to obey via copy&paste to make the things work ... Yes but ..

  • "Why?" ...
  • "Why should I copy this code there?"
  • "What does this code means?"

Indeed, most of the tutorial are oriented to Javascript programmers with expertise on HTML5 and D3.js who need to take the max out of SAP Lumira.

 

So if you think that D3 is a typo, and XML is the oversize version of HTML ... well,

You may be interested on reading the tutorials I plan to publish.

 

Globally, the goal of those tutorial is to be able to give You the possibility to react easily when Your client or Your boss asks You for ... a larger column in the table, a different font on the title or other things that where easy to put in place on Web Intelligence and are now not included in out-of-the-box SAP Lumira ...
